Bursary Places

Platform Theatre Arts is pleased to announce that, thanks to new funding from the Community Investment Board, we are able to offer 15 bursary places each term for one year to support young people who may face financial barriers to participating in our youth theatre.

Our aim is simple: cost should not prevent a young person from accessing the arts.

These bursaries are open to any young person who want's to take part in youth theatre.

Priority may be given to young people whose families are receiving Universal Credit, Free School Meals, those who are young carers, care-experienced, disabled, or experiencing circumstances where creative opportunities would provide particular benefit.

If your child would love to take part in youth theatre but finances are a barrier, we warmly encourage you to apply.

As bursary places are limited, all applications will be reviewed and bursaries awarded through a fair and confidential assessment process. We strongly encourage families to apply if cost is a barrier, as we want to ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent young people from taking part.

Applications are open now!

To apply for a bursary starting in September 2026 for the Autumn term, complete our application form.

  • Deadline for applications: 31st July 2026

  • Decisions will be made by: 17th August 2026
