THE GAME?
JULY 2025
The Game was an immersive, open-air promenade performance like no other. Our Platform Company pushed the boundaries between player and character in this exciting outdoor adventure.
As audiences journey through the beautiful surroundings, they uncovered hidden clues to help free the trapped characters inside the mysterious world of the game. The Game invited you to play for more than just victory. Will you discover the secrets before time runs out?
This outdoor experience was performed at Trust Links in Westcliff on 13th July 2025.

MARCH 2025
Students from a Pupil Referral group are made to go orienteering in what they discover is England’s most haunted woods. Stalked by eery ghost children determined to keep them there forever, they must learn to confront the here and now to unlock the key to their futures.

Summer Showcase
July 2024
Our Summer Showcase shared two stories, inspired by our young people's own ideas at Kings Road URC.
🌿Forest Warriors was a compelling and heartwarming play telling the story of a group of determined school children who band together to protect their cherished forest from being destroyed to build a new housing estate. Faced with the imminent threat of deforestation, these young eco-heroes organise a protest to safeguard the trees and the diverse wildlife that depend on the forest for survival.
🕵️♀️Murder on the Dancefloor was an exciting new interactive murder mystery that plunged the audience into a world of intrigue and suspense. As a talented cast of actors gather at a local ballet academy to rehearse a highly anticipated Sherlock Holmes play, they soon discover that their enigmatic director is missing.

Age is Revolting
April 2024
Choir is for mad old people, right?
When a group of school kids rebel against their boring music lesson they hit the wrong note and magically transform into their 80 year-old selves… and now live in a care home.
Suddenly age, and their understanding of it, feels very relevant as they begin to confusedly navigate their way back to the present; no longer older, but maybe just a little wiser.

Shorts
December 2023
Shorts was a showcase of monologues and duologues performed by our company. They bought to life a variety of characters and stories as they showcased their acting and performance skills.
Hosted at Metal Southend, this show was a cosy, entertaining evening to round up our Winter term.

Where's Alice?
June 2023
Where's Alice? was an outdoor immersive performance, inspired by the characters from Alice in Wonderland. Audiences followed the Cheshire Cats and the White Rabbit to help find Alice!
Performances were hosted by Steps Ahead at The Hive in Southend.

Fix It
April 2023
Fix It was an ensemble piece exploring the ideas of what makes us happy. An original devised piece, there was movement, music and script work.
The term's focus was on ensemble work and it was the first time all our classes performed as one at the Cunningham Theatre at Thorpe Hall School.

Bah Humbug!
December 2022
Bah Humbug Revisited was a collection of Christmas stories with a twist. This was our very first performance and it was a magical, festive night held in the Sanctuary at King's Road URC.
